Pooping In The Cold

Yes, I said it. Yes, I'm serious. Doing your business in the cold is a valuable life skill, and today I'm sharing it with you.

While this video is about using outhouses in cold weather, the same principle applies in the woods; just find a log to sit on.

    I had trouble with volume on the video so here is a comment from an Alaskan who has regularly used an outhouse in temperatures as low as -50 F. Replace the toilet seat with a piece of rigid foam insulation with an appropriate hole. You will think the seat is heated!
